AWC x Hwaet

Hwæt! Zine was born from a love of old stories, ancient landscapes, myth and folklore. Bunty May Marshall and George Parr have channelled all of their interests into a publication celebrating stories that have sometimes been long forgotten but which are still very relevant to us today. The illustrations that bind the zine together are the work of Bunty May whose work draws from her love of old woodcuts and linocuts. Working exclusively in black and white, her work explores both the dark and light elements of these mystical and mythic stories, attempting to balance the two in harmony.
